Amazement

And they say we just happened by chance...also, how is it that something built 2,000 years ago took us a hundred years to figure out?

Also, I'm amazed at my recent ability to track my packages on the internet. Right now, my climbing shoes are in Salt Lake City, UT :-)

One more thing...I'm amazed that I haven't posted in almost a month. Silly me. Semester review is coming up soon :-)

Oh, and JPB, your comment on my commentary of 1 Peter 3:7 stirred some good thoughts in my brain. I'd like to answer that question relatively soon :-) Thanks for asking it!

Shan,

Your post says that the device was "built". The implication is that there was some sort of designer/builder with the intelligence and ability to devise and construct such an instrument.

Wouldn't a more plausible explanation be that over a long, long time, all of the materials that make up the device were dissolved in the ocean and came together? Once, when all of the circumstances were just right, lightning struck and ... viola, there you have it.

Don't you think it is ludicrous to imply that something so complex and so useful and so beautiful was conceived and constructed by "intelligent design" rather than by "chance"?

Oh, you don't?

Neither do I!

Pop :)
